The Hutt Mana Charitable Trust has agreed to consider applications
for awarding of two scholarships per annum for students undertaking
the Professional years of an engineering or energy management
degree course.
An award would be available for up to three years of a course,
subject to satisfactory completion of the coursework of the previous
year.
The award has been set at $5,000 per annum and is payable in March
of each year.
Degree courses:
The areas of interest to the Trust are generally covered by the
B Eng course (with a major in Electrical, Gas, and Sustainable
Energy), or B Sc (Energy Management).
Basis of award:
- Pre-university residency within Trust’s geographic area 1
- Studying electrical engineering or energy management. (4 year
course)
- Awarded at the beginning of each professional year, subject
to completion of the preceding years satisfactorily.
- Not able to be held concurrently with employer based scholarships
or support.
- Subject to merit of the applicant.
Applications:
Applications for Engineering Scholarships should be made to the
Secretary of the Trust by 31 January 2010. Applications should
include full name, address and contact details, the nature of course
proposed or commenced and details of current studies. A copy of
achievements at Secondary school should be included. Applicants
should be prepared to attend an interview if required.
