The Hutt Mana Charitable Trust exists to serve the communities
of the Hutt Mana area. The Trust has two principal functions.
- The promotion of energy efficiency, including assisting with
the insulation of existing homes so they use less power to
keep warm.
- Supporting the community through grants and building capacity
in the voluntary sector.
The Trust is a registered charitable entity with
the Charities Commission under the Charities Act 2005, with the
registration number CC20115.

The Trust has recently published a book entitled “Gas,
Power and People” by Helen Reilly. This book tells the story
of the history and development of the electricity and gas sectors
in the Trust’s area.
